Holy crap, thank you so much anonymous Secret Senna! This was so nice!

I have no idea who you are (...was I not supposed to sign mine? oops), but the note was really, really sweet.

So, I totally filled out the wish list thing on DrawNames before I saw Mario’s note to forget about it, but I got the 914 manual anyway! OMG! Thanks!!!

A f resh copy, too! This is going to greatly improve the next !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! .

Now I can return the 914 manual I keep forgetting to return that’s sitting in my kitchen. Also, I still need to either fix my 411's engine or just skip right over that and get a 914 engine to install. I do envy that 914 version of the Type 4 engine quite a bit. Hans Mezger (of the long-used, very good 911 block fame) and buds worked it over when it went in the good ol’ VW-Porsche 914.

“For today’s more complex vehicles,” ha.

Then there was a wood-carving of my 944 (!!!!!), which is one of the coolest things I’ve gotten to date. I’m speechless. This is so awesome.

Kinja'd!!!

Aaaaaaand then there were a couple lil’ transaxle Porsches, complete with moving parts (!!).

Kinja'd!!!

Red 924!

Kinja'd!!!

And a right-hand-drive 928! I didn’t even know either of these existed.

Kinja'd!!!

Thank you so much, Anonymous Oppo Poster! This rules so much.

Kinja'd!!!

Off-topicish: I t has been chilly, so yes, this is all sitting on the Puffalump blanket on top of my duvet. It’s actually official Puffalump merch from back in the day:

Kinja'd!!!

It also features the cutest butterfly illustrations of all time .

My Secret Senna package went out today. The lil’ automated postage machine was broken at my post office before Christmas, and I just now got around to it. Happy new year, recipient !

I’m definitely suspicious about that “Includes essential information for today’s more complex vehicles” claim. It certainly seems unlikely to be true for definitions of today that include 12/31/2019, and frankly even in 1976, the 914  was not exactly the most modern vehicle on the road in my understanding.

Fuel Injection was maybe not exotic, but far from common in ‘74.

Twas I. I’ve never done Secret Senna before, so I wasn’t sure if it was supposed to be an actual secret or not. Seems like a lot of people know who there’s was though.

I’m glad you like them. I’m a big fan of service manuals, so that was an instant buy. Turns out the Haynes company is local to me, so it was at my door the next day for less than the price of the used one on Amazon.

I have a laser engraver in my shop teaching arsenal at school, so I thought that was a fun thing to make. I searched your Instagram and the web for photographs that would work, but none of them turned out, so I stole Arch Duke Max Yenko’s artwork. I figured I’d ask forgiveness rather than permission, since I’m not profiting from it. So ... Uhhh ... Sorry Arch Duke.

I figured 80's Parshes deserve 80's diecasts, so I pulled a couple nice ones from my stash :)

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Holy crap! Thank you so much! That’s incredible. I chuckled at the credit to Archduke on the engraving. I also have the shirt. The little cars rule so much. (My house is covered with little cars and it is good .)

Haynes being local is super rad. I wonder if they know of Lemons’ race-weekend reverence for The Book?

It’s nice to see everyone all tucked in to bed.  You can almost see the visions of sugarplums dancing in their heads.

Man oh man do I want fuel injection on the 411. I should figure out how to redo my carbs, though—just for laughs. Might make a good article after I spill fuel all over myself and smell gross for a week afterwards. (The smell...it lingers.)

EINSPRITZUNG ME, PEOPLE’S CAR.

I thought that Majo 924 looked familiar, is that from my hoard sale?

You ar e very welcome! :)

I knew you had the shirt, because I saw a few pics of you wearing it, while searching for Porshlump pics. I love me some tiny cars. I probably have a couple thousand of them, so I’m happy to share some of the Parshes.

I have no idea if the Haynes people are aware of their link to Lemons. Sounds like a potential sponsorship opportunity!

Probably. At this point I have lost track of what I got, from where. I got a TON of great stuff from that hoard!

Heh, the guy who does their social media right now is a Lemons dude, IIRC. Either way, I know they definitely know of the series and its shenanigans.
